DCCP accepts donations of bikes but we like to see them first before deciding whether to take them. If you have a bike you want to donate, please take a clear picture of it and email it to: durringtoncycleproject@gmail.com , as it is not always possible to judge the condition of the bike from photographs, we have to consider the viability of it for our use. As a result, we will not make a final decision on accepting the bike until we can physically asses it. we will contact you as soon as possible.
Electric Bikes:-
If you are wanting to donate an electric bike it must follow this criteria :-
1. They are complete, i.e they don't have any missing components such as batteries, chargers, controllers etc
2. We must be able to test ride them before accepting them to be satisfied as far as we can that they don't have any modifications to the electronics in any way and comply with the speed restrictions.
3. They don't have any "Throttle" mechanism on them.
Please do not leave bikes for donation outside the workshop when we are closed. We cannot be held responsible for what may happen to them. We are open Wednesday's and Saturday's when we can happily accept donations. We require a name and contact number from anybody donating a bike to us.
